  • Links community-oriented efforts in workplace development, educational outreach, and economic development to respond to the talent crisis.
  • Promotes underserved young women's interest in local/regional jobs requiring IT skills within two Appalachian counties each in Virginia, Kentucky, Tennessee, West Virginia and North Carolina.
  • Works with teachers, school counselors, Family and Consumer Science and 4H agents in a train-the-trainer model to educate stokers about the wide ranges of IT jobs in their community, overcoming gender stereotypes, and the ways to support girls' interests toward successful futures in the IT world.
